Religious Ed at OLMC

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish offers religious education from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade on Sundays from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.  Once a student has received Confirmation they are invited to participate in our High School Youth Group.  For a complete list of dates and times please consult our parish calendar.

 

Congratulations to our Confirmation Class of 2018

  • Our eighth grade students recently received the sacrament of Confirmation at Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas on April 4th.  Congratulations to all of them!!

Hockey ticket lottery

  • Congratulations to Paige Rambus.  She won four W-B Scranton hockey tickets for a game in early April.  She was selected in a random drawing of the five students who had perfect attendance.  The five students were Jayce Decker, Emilie Joseph, Nick Joseph, Paige Rambus and Ava Siergiej.

  • Congratulations to the 2nd Grade class for winning this year's poster contest.  Their poster depicted the Chair of St. Peter.

first Reconciliation

  • Congratulations to our 2nd grade class for receiving the sacrament of First Reconciliation on February 10, 2018.  Great job!

good deeds challenge

  • During the 40 days of lent, the religious education students are challenged to help others.
  • Kindergarten through 4th grade are challenged to perform good deeds each day and coloring in their Journey to Easter.
  • 5th through 7th grade are challenged to perform volunteer service hours and keep track on the Good Deeds Challenge Log.
  • Students are asked to return their forms on Sunday, April 8th.
